SUMMARY
ARX-VTM maintains cellular integrity and encourages the preservation of viruses when properly stored. Before use, vials should be stored at either 2-8°C or 25-30°C. Once a specimen is collected with a swab, it should be immediately placed into the vial containing the transport medium and processed as soon as possible to achieve optimal recovery. In cases where immediate processing is not possible, the specimen’s transport tube can be stored at either 2-8°C or 25-30°C for up to 72 hours.
WORKING PRINCIPLES
The ARX-VTM formulation includes proteins for virus stabilization6, antibiotics to prevent overgrowth of bacteria and yeasts, and a buffer solution to maintain a neutral pH.
